R.W. Tomlinson accepted the prestigious Large Business of the Year award from Regroupement des Gens d’Affaires de la Capitale Nationale (RGA) during its 22nd annual gala on Saturday, April 12 at the Hilton Lac Leamy. Known for more than 50 years as a leader in Eastern Ontario’s road building industry, R.W. Tomlinson was joined in the category by finalists Maxsys Personnel and Hilton Lac Leamy.

This year there were 22 finalists in eight categories.

The prestigious event was attended by more than 900 guests, including mayors from both shores and many other distinguished community leaders. The RGA paid homage to various business and executives in the region by awarding them their Prix d’Excellence 2008. The candidates were recognized in a number of areas including leadership, community involvement, spirit of innovation, and commitment to the evolution of their business.
